With a career that stretches from the birth of online music distribution to remix culture and beyond, Jason Brock has never been afraid to adapt, evolve, and bite back. Following the gritty success of Butch Coolidge, Brock returns with “Poison Snake” (out September 30, 2025)—the second strike in a three-song series that captures both the venom and vitality of his Gen X rock lineage.
Featuring Toulouse Holliday on guitar and Al Linker on drums, the track coils around a fierce groove, then lunges with razor-sharp riffs and Brock’s snarling vocal delivery. The lyrics are a warning and a confession rolled into one:
“You’ve been bitten by a poisonous snake / Intoxicated by the chances you take.”
It’s a hard rock parable of fate, temptation, and survival—delivered with the swagger of someone who’s lived the grit of the LA ’90s music scene and carried that fire into the present.
“Poison Snake” doesn’t just rattle—it bites, reminding us that danger and desire often come hand-in-hand. And like a true anthem, it leaves the listener asking: Can I hear you calling?
For fans of Rolling Stones’ Beggars Banquet grit with a contemporary punch, Poison Snake cements Brock’s place as a survivor and storyteller, weaving his past into a track that feels urgent, timeless, and venomously alive.
